(MCA Universal)
On Perfect Symmetry, Keane gives up the piano for the synth, making for more modern dance-rock-ish numbers. Don’t worry, they aren’t trying to be the last wave of the dying trend. On their third record, Keane remains to be Keane: hardly cathartic, often forgettable but most definitely enjoyable. Even better: with songs like “The Lovers are Losing,” “Perfect Symmetry,” and “Pretend That You’re Alone,” the band is most enjoyable on this record. - Lou Albano
