Because of the controversial nature of the crowning of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach back in December, Pia was not able to perform the contest's much-awaited "Final Walk." It was disappointing because that would have been a truly golden moment for her and our nation, but hey, who are we to complain? The crown is ours.
Also: American talk show Live With Kelly And Michael has rectified the glaring mistake. In an episode that aired January 4 in USA, the hosts egged Pia on to perform what would have been her victory lap in the prestigious beauty pageant.
We've captured it in GIFs here:

More than the walk though, what impressed us was Pia's easygoing nature. She was natural, candid, and yes, confidently beautiful. There was no air of pretense as she regaled the hosts with stories about her New York New Year experience, and the things that went through her mind when Miss U host Steve Harvey mis-announced the winner before correcting himself. She was very confident too in speaking English without any hint of a bogus American accent. Lovely.
It was also very entertaining to hear her account of the whole mis-crowning incident.
Initially thinking she was merely first runner-up, she thought, "I was just thinking to myself, 'Okay, I made it this far, I'm pretty sure I made my country proud, and that's good enough for me.' I know I did everything I could, I know I did very well."
And then Steve corrected himself. Pia said she was surprised to the point that she had to ask her manager backstage about it: “'Did I really win? Is this final? Are you gonna come back and take the crown from me?' But then they reassured me that 'Yes, you are the winner, you are Miss Universe,' and that’s the point that it finally [sank] in and I had a good cry backstage."
As for her relationship with Miss Colombia? Pia told the hosts that she greeted the South American contestant on her birthday, which happened to be on Christmas, December 25. Fantastic, Pia! Show them how the lady with the crown should act!
