Several TV personalities were flown into the country for History Con 2017, with US-based Filipino blacksmith Ryu Lim being one of them.
The champion of History Channel's reality series Forged in Fire season 1 (2015) has been crafting weapons since he was a teenager and has the art of bladesmithing down pat. Ryu has already visited the country before, having taught his fellow Pinoys how to hammer out cutting tools when he was last here.
FHM was lucky enough to speak with the real-life panday and ask him some questions about his craft.
Aside from Ryu, Corey Harrison (Pawn Stars), 'Horny' Mike Henry (Counting Cars), professional dunker Jordan Kilganon, competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi, etc., will also grace History Con 2017, held at the World Trade Center in Pasay, from August 10 to 13.
