The trailer for the much-awaited Erich Gonzales and Jericho Rosales' film, Siargao is finally out.

Directed by Paul Soriano, Siargao revolves around the story of Erich, Jericho, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith, who travelled all the way to the island of Siargao to “search for love, happiness, and belongingness.”

Aside from the interesting story, the teaser also showcases the beauty of Siargao. The island, which is located in the province of Surigao del Norte, is popular for being a surfing spot in the country that people from all over rthe world visit. In fact, its many types of waves and surf breaks are even considered as one of the best on the planet.

In case you’re planning to go there soon, here are some tips courtesy of the snapshots of the stars during the shooting day of the movie.

1) Explore the city using a motorcycle

Siargao life isn't only about the water; there are other places to discover on the island as well. The best way to discover the island is by renting a motorcycle. Live like a local and immerse yourself in their culture for that ultimate Siargao experience. Motorbike rental in Siargao costs around P350 a day.

2) Rent a paddleboat

If surfing isn't for you (or if the waves are too small, you pro you), why not rent a paddleboat to explore the island? A great place to practice your paddling skills is at Sugba Lagoon. The lagoon is located in the middle of the second biggest mangrove ecosystem in the country. Bask in the greens and the blues, as you make your way to the mystical wonder of this mangrove forest. Some tours offer free lunch alongside the paddle board rental—we suggest that you get this so that you’ll be treated with a sumptuous ihaw-ihaw and seafood feast after this tiring activity.

3) Take an island tour

You can also take an island tour via a boat ride, to see more of the caves, cliffs, lagoons, and other mini islands. Let these be on your island hopping bucket list: Naked Island, Daku Island, and Guyam Island.

4) Of course, don’t forget to surf

You’re in the Surfing Capital Of The Country, so you might as well learn how to ride the waves! Don’t worry, a great team of professional surfers can be found all over the island. Hire someone to teach you the basics. Once you can surf on your own, it’s time to conquer the famous Cloud 9 waves in the Tuason Point and General Luna areas. Just be careful, bro!
