Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a special, special film. Many of us dedicated a huge chunk of our 2015 waiting for, dreaming of, and fantasizing about the darned film. It came out in time for Christmas, and it was pretty much the only gift we needed. (Thank you, Hollywood Santas!)
The film also cost a pretty penny to make, specifically $200 million. Luckily, its backer, Walt Disney, has fat stacks in their hidden Mickey vaults. (We made up the vaults but you get our point: They're rich!)
The guys who made the video below, of the YouTube channel Matthew Potter, are not as rich. They're also not third-world poor because hey, they still had the resources to make a parody of a big-budget film...had it been made with a tiny, tiny fraction of its true budget. Cardboard boxes, marker makeup, grade-school dioramas and ugly wigs make up this neat little clip.
Know what's funny? The Force was still strong in this one—as was the creativity and the passion. 10/10.
