The intimate scenes were between the FHM May 2017 muse and her leading man Rafael Rosell.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Impostora director Albert Langitan shared that the Impostora production team were invited by MTRCB for a hearing. At the end of the meeting, they were able to agree on the terms.
“Sa end naman ng dialogue na yun, nagkasundo ang MTRCB at saka kami na magkakaroon palagi ng ganung dialogue para walang miscommunication na mangyari,” the director said. “Palagay ko, yung pagpapatawag sa MTRCB, function lang yun na hindi nagkaroon ng tamang communication. Kasi ako, as a director, wala naman akong intensyon na mag above board.”
This is not the first instance that a TV show caught MTRCB’s attention. There are various programs—both Kapamilya and Kapuso—that raised the eyebrows of the members of the organization, causing them to sequester the show’s creators.
Here are some of the most recent and controversial scenes that irked the oft-sensitive MTRCB:
Nadine Lustre and James Reid’s car scene on Til I Met You
In November of 2016, the MTRCB summoned representatives of the ABS-CBN soap opera, Till I Met You, to a meeting about the couple’s steamy episodes that were aired in late October of the same.
According to the board, a complaint was posted online regarding the sexy car scene shown above. In defense, the producers released a statement: “The intent of the episode to show certain sensitive scenes was to make viewers aware not only of the consequences of young and reckless love but also how impulsive acts of this kind of love occur in real life. There are lessons to be learned where decisions are made on impulse. We hope that the program will be appreciated in its entirety and some scenes not taken out of context.”
Shaina Magdayao, Denise Laurel, JC de Vera, and Carlo Aquino’s intimate scenes on The Better Half
The MTRCB reviewed certain episodes of the Kapamilya TV show after ex-MTRCB chairman’s Mocha Uson’s complaints about them.
After a meeting, the staff of the show were reminded by the MTRCB to be more cautious in airing sensitive scenes.
Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino’s production number on Party Pilipinas
GMA’s Sunday noontime show, the now-defunct Party Pilipinas, was put on a 6-month probation by MTRCB last 2012, due to the steamy production number of Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino. Apparently, the act was inappropriate as the show was rated PG (Parental Guidance). While on probation, the program was placed on a per-episode basis, “which means that any violation of the MTRCB rules, laws, and regulations would mean placing the program off air without prejudice to other sanctions.”
