X-Men: Apocalypse proved to be action-packed yet a little monotonous for its own good.
For a franchise in already its ninth film, a sense of repetitiveness is to be expected, and adding a handful of compelling elements to sustain and (hopefully) still grow its loyal fanbase might just be the solution.
X-Men took the route that pleases the eye, introducing three new female cast members to join Jennifer Lawrence—already smokin' by herself—who plays the scantily clad and scale-covered Mystique.
Sure, there are also a couple of male newcomers like actors Tye Sheridan and Kodi Smit-Mcphee, who play Cyclops and Nitghcrawler respectively, but this isn't really the place to talk about them.
To patrons who watch the ensemble superhero film to check out the likes of Jean Grey and Storm, this one's for you. Get to know the new lady mutants when they're not covered up by an X-Uniform:
Sophie Turner as Jean Grey
Sansa Stark to Game of Thrones diehards, Sophie brings her brief yet effective acting cred to the big-screen as the telekinetic and telepathic looker (previously portrayed by Famke Janssen).
Expect the noblewoman to be more up in arms from the outset in this one. Meanwhile, here she is removed from both of her cool, fictional worlds and still look awesome. (Why not hit that "Follow" button while you're at it?)
Alexandra Shipp as Storm
Aside from taking over the reins of Storm from Halle Berry, Alexandra is also known for playing the role of R&B singer Aaliyah in the latter's 2014 TV biopic. Not much of a surprise, considering she has a respectable discography under her belt.
Few can pull off a short 'do, but the 24-year-old is making a killing off the shaved head look.
Olivia Munn as Psylocke
She is probably the most experienced among her contemporaries in terms of body of work; she's been juggling hosting (Attack of the Show!) and acting (Beyond the Break, Deliver Us From Evil) chores since 2004.
When it comes to being visually arresting, Olivia can still give her younger colleagues a run for their money.
