We all know that Tom Cruise dabbles in scientology but who knew the 52-year-old actor was THIS crazy.
Hours ago, the debut trailer for the next Mission Impossible movie, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, was released. The plot involves Tom Cruise's spy organization (IMF) doing the cha-cha with another spy organization (The Syndicate) that's hell-bent on destroying them. In between, there are hot spy-ladies played by Rebecca Fergusson (last seen in The White Queen), spy-sidekicks (Simon Pegg makes a return from 2011's Ghost Protocol) and one evil overlord (a non-comedic Alec Baldwin.) Typical spy-movie stuff.
Oh, and stunts. This 60-second trailer is chock full of them:

That last one though with Tom Cruise dangling from the plane takes the cake.
In case you were wondering, the shot is real. That is Tom Cruise. That is the side of a plane, an Airbus A400 to be specific. That is the ground shrinking beneath him as the plane ascends. And that is Tom Cruise dangling from it, hanging on to dear life.
What can we say? Dude's got some major cojones. What can Cruise say about it? An interview with USA Today had the actor saying, "I’ve often sat on airplanes, looked out, and thought what it would be like out there on the wing. This is the (stuff) I think about."
Cruise also confirms that it was indeed him on (the side of) that plane: "That’s me the whole time. I was standing right over the tires when we landed. It’s nerve-racking for everyone else, but pretty exciting for me.”
Yup, looks like him. Pretty sick, man. Pretty stupid but also pretty sick.
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation opens on July 31, 2015.
