UFC Undisputed 2010 is the much anticipated, much awaited, and much controversial sequel to the surprise MMA video game hit UFC Undisputed 2009 and it is only a few weeks away from being released. [firstpara] The official demo of the game is now out and available, and we have nothing but praises for this game.

Under the sports/fighting genre, THQ’s UFC Undisputed 2010 is this summer’s biggest release. And based on the success of its predecessor, MMA and UFC fans alike will growl like hyenas come the 25th of May this year.

Featuring an updated roster, a new submission system, and several fight improvements, the game has escalated its development based on complaints from last year’s version.

One, for example, is the up to date roster in the UFC, where heavyweight prodigies Junior Dos Santos, Shane Carwin, Roy Nelson, and Kimbo Slice all make their UFC Undisputed debuts.

Add to that a slew of MMA legends that includes Royce Gracie and Dan “The Beast” Severn, and we’ve got a potential past versus future match-up in the making. UFC favorites Brock Lesnar, Forrest Griffin, and Georges St. Pierre remain in the game, of course.

The ground grappling and the clinch game are also redesigned for a simpler game play, and the usage of the Octagon cage walls is now allowed, making the fight scene look more realistic. The usual methods of victory still apply, with the addition of a new TKO stoppage due to injury or cuts.

Apart from the original six, the game also debuts three new fighting styles: Karate, Sambo, and Greco Roman Wrestling. This means unorthodox fighters like Lyoto Machida can act and fight like they do in real life.
