Lo and behold, Snoop Dogg just launched a marijuana-based lifestyle website called MerryJane.com!
The rap icon slash cannabis enthusiast, who reportedly had been getting into tech stuff lately, unveiled the weed-centered online information platform at the recent TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco.
As Snoop puts it, MerryJane.com will basically be an "encyclopedia to the cannabis world."
Aside from a bevy of editorial content, videos are also an integral part of the website, particularly a cooking show and a lineup of original series, like Deflowered.
"Now that I could see that it (industry) becomes more of a business, its more educational and technical, with the whole world in general, it gives off more than just me just trying to smoke, but me giving you a whole explanation of what it is," Snoop said.
Among celebrity advocates are Seth Rogen and Miley Cyrus, who the rapper said are "down with the team."
Asked why the passion for the herb, Snoop replied, "Well, for one, I enjoy it. (Two), for medical reasons," eliciting laughter from the audience.
He continued, "It's a peace situation with me. Every time that I've always been around it, I've seen beautiful things happen. I've seen people manifest love, peace, happiness and harmony."
MerryJane.com reportedly went live on Monday, featuring a super sleek homepage wherein people can apply for early access to the platform's beta version. The full launch is expected next month.
