These days, Michael Jordan is known for two things.

One is being widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time, which has made him such a successful brand.

Another is something that has just caught on in recent years, which is being the iconic face of the Crying Jordan meme—an ironic representation of failure in the sports world.

Recently, MJ dropped by The White House to receive his Presidential Medal of Freedom—given to outstanding citizens—from no less than US President Barack Obama. There, the Internet had a chance to witness a meme come to life.

Obama, a die-hard Chicago Bulls fan, playfully referenced Space Jam in his speech, and touched up on the subject of Jordan's fortuitous online fame:

Not seen in the clip was the GOAT unable to control his emotions and break into a familiar look, after the president referred to him as "more than just an Internet meme."

Of course, somebody just had to do it: superimpose Jordan's Basketball Hall of Fame crying face at his updated emotional expression. It's like typing Google into Google, but taken to a whole new level that could disrupt the natural order of things.

Kidding aside, congratulations to him for the well-deserved honor. And keep on crying for the Internet, MJ.
