Remember Darko Milicic, the Serbian big man who was drafted second overall by the Detroit Pistons back in 2003? Of course, you do. That was the draft class that gave us LeBron James!

Darko sort of turned heads for getting drafted ahead of Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, but the Pistons didn't see the need to draft a primetime player at the time. In fact, Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton, and Rasheed Wallace led Detroit to an NBA title that year.

Unfortunately, the lack of playing time hindered Darko from living up to his potential. "I've said it 10,000 times. The best way for me to improve is play," he told Boston.com back in '05. "All the work in practice and individual workouts can only help me so much."

In 2006, at the age of 20, the Pistons officially gave up on Darko and traded him to the Orlando Magic. At this point, people started to refer to him as a bust. Aaawww.

Darko continued to give basketball a chance while playing for Memphis, New York, Minnesota, and Boston, but he was never really able to find his groove. In June 2013, he announced his retirement from the sport.

But hey, don't feel bad for the guy! We found out that Darko is now a professional kickboxer, who made his debut at Soul Night Of Champions last Friday, December 19.

He even had a hype video to show for it!

This could be his calling, for all we know.

AAAND, THIS JUST IN: As first reported by BleacherReport.com Darko lost his first fight after being disqualified because of a nasty gash on his shin.

Here's the full fight video (WARNING: Contains semi-good kickboxing action, a super gross wound, and a lot of Darko blood):

Better luck next time (na naman), Darko!
