Aside from being an actress and FHM’s favorite korean sensation, Jinri Park is also a pro Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) artist.
BJJ is a grappling-based martial art which aims to control a resisting opponent in ways that force your foe to submit. The sport is generally done on the ground than in a standing position.
The former cover girl, who has been practicing since November of 2015, was recently promoted to blue belt.
"Jiu-jitsu has changed the way I view my life because it teaches you to be very humble," she says. "The martial art recognizes that there's always going to be someone better than you and who will beat you even if you're very experienced. I get this unexplainable fulfillment out of it."
In case you’re looking for a new sport to try, BJJ is worth a shot. Interested? To help you start with your BJJ journey, the FHM July 2017 cover girl is here to teach you the basics. Ready your gi!
