UAAP standout Kiefer Ravena has hit another milestone in his young and promising basketball career after he made it to the development roster in the NBA D-League.

The former two-time UAAP MVP who earned the nickname “The Phenom” for his outstanding plays during his college stint with the Ateneo Blue Eagles will now be under the wing of the Texas Legends.

Ravena’s handler, Patty Scott confirmed the new development to Spin.ph on Friday.

“He just flew there today and got checked into his apartment for the year... They have taken great interest in him and will be developing him for this season.”

Although Ravena is not part of the Legends’ active roster, Scott is feeling positive that he will make waves in the development roster and will be absorbed into the active lineup.

Scott added that if Ravena proves himself, he will get a chance to play for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA summer league roster.

“Hopefully for summer league with Mavericks in 2017 if all goes well and then back next season with the Legends as a starter and continue the journey to next level.”

For his part, Ravena seemed excited with the news.

Best of skill and luck, Kiefer!
