Kings have crowns...and LeBron James has his headband.
Much has been said about the celebrated piece of fabric, from the time it was knocked off during Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals to his recent ditching of the fabled gear, just before the Cleveland Cavaliers' playoff run this year. (And don't get us started with those "hairline" jokes.)
In an interview, LeBron said he "wanted to look like my teammates" as the reason why he has stopped wearing his trademark headpiece since March 10 against the Dallas Mavericks.
Memorials took place in Vine:
The King has already shed light on the subject, but it seems that no one's asking about the poor garment's feelings.
That changes now, as the Cavaliers' video team has scored an exclusive interview with the headless headband, whose name is apparently "Terry," and wasn't at all happy about the whole ditching thing. Watch it here:
Today was also a great day for Terry as LeBron James have reunited with the embattled headgear in game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals match up between the Cavs and the Chicago Bulls. The reunion supposedly inspired LeBron to power his team to a series-tying win with 33 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
We just love happy endings. #TeamTerry
