Shout out to those who've been following this year's NCAA March Madness! The tournament is now down to its final sixteen teams, with most of the games kicking off this Friday, March 29. Here we're bound to see them collegiate "playaz" who will literally be following Lillard, Beal, and Kidd-Gilchrist's footsteps into NBA superstardom.
Or they could screw it all up and end up as collegiate busts, like some of the players below:
Chris Webber's Infamous Timeout
North Carolina vs. Michigan, 1993
During the NCAA Finals game between the Tar Heels and the Wolverines, All-American sophomore forward Chris Webber made two incredibly boneheaded moves (one of which was not caught by the officials) in a span of 8 seconds. Down by 2 points, C-Webb rebounded a missed free throw, supposedly traveled, got away with it, dribbled it down the court, and finally, called a timeout...with zero timeouts remaining. Said play caused Michigan a technical foul, giving North Carolina a two-possession lead. Y'all can watch the rest.
Roscoe Smith's YOLO Shot
U-Conn vs. Texas, 2011
With 11 seconds left in the game and tied at 73 apiece, U-Conn's Roscoe Smith goes for an inexplicable and unnecessary full court shot ala-buzzer beater, much to the dismay of his teammates. Poor guy had no idea what's going on in the stats board. Also a must-see: the dude who caught his full court shot with his cheerleading cone.
He was caught sexting multiple women who all turned out to be one dude
