It’s been more than a month now but we still can’t get that highlight reel knockout of former PXC Bantamweight champion Justin “The Shocker” Cruz by challenger Crisanto “The Slugger” Pitpitunge out of our minds.

If you don’t know what we’re talking about (and we pity the fool who’s still not into MMA—it’s great action, man!), then check this link out:

Yep, that was the Guam-based Cruz attempting what is called a “Superman punch” only to be caught by a right straight from local fighter and wushu star Pitpitunge. As the video clearly shows, the counterpunch hit Cruz right on the chin, dropped him face-first, and clearly jarred his brain (notice how he trembles once he drops, like his humping the floor). That’s what K-T-F-O looks like, folks.

If you’re up for watching great action like this live then suggest you head off to the Ynares Sports Arena this Saturday (September 1) in Kapitolyo, Pasig City for PXC 33.

There are nine fights scheduled for the night, with Filipino-American and PXC Lightweight champ Harris Sarmiento facing undefeated Korean fighter Seung Hwa Han in the main event.

Sarmiento was supposed to face No. 1 contender Jon Tuck of Guam (or that guy who knocked out Eduard Folayang in just eight seconds), but the Guamanian had to pull out because of an injury. And so enters Han, who competes out of Jeonju First Gym and is coached by Korean Top Team. We still expect slam-bang action from this one, though, as Sarmiento is known to favor slugfests.
