We're going for another sports week session before January ends! The biggest among a platoon of sports happenings in the past seven days was the Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal's epic finals match at the 2012 Australian Open. Last Sunday witnessed the longest match in Grandslam Finals history: a grueling 5 1/2-hour match the end of which saw Djokovic beat Nadal, scoring his fifth career Grandslam title. Unbelievable!
"It was obvious on the court for everybody who has watched the match that both of us, physically, we took the last drop of energy that we had from our bodies," says a clearly exhausted Djokovic. "We made history tonight and unfortunately there couldn't be two winners." Well congratulations, idol!
In line with this awesome event, here's a recap of the hits and misses that occured in the world of sports this past week. It's a good time to be a sports fan!
