The Golden State Warriors' woes continue after superstar Stephen Curry suffered a sprained ankle during their game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The two-time NBA champion and league MVP was trying to break a play and ended up stepping on the foot of Pelicans guard E'Twaun Moore. He was seen limping afterwards and had to be brought to the locker room for treatment.

Here’s a closer look:

It’s a good thing the injury wasn’t as serious as it looks. Curry was also in high spirits after the game (which they won 125-115 btw), recalling that he bounced back from a similar injury in 2011. “It was a dumb play because I tried to go for a steal... Just got to take it one day at a time and allow the athletic training staff to let me get back on the court as soon as possible,” he said.

X-rays taken after turned out negative results, while his MRI also showed there was no structural damage, which means Curry will be good to go once he gets enough rest. The Warriors, for their part, will assess Curry’s ankle after two weeks.
