NBA 2K18 was just released last month, but it looks like its developers are not calling off their fast break just yet after adding new features that will make the whole experience of playing in a simulation basketball world more enjoyable for fans of the sport.
According to YouTube star Ronnie Singh, who regularly uploads content about 2K, the new patch developed updates that introduced a verified system.
Under the verified system, official figures of the sport like NBA players, 2K employees, and other basketball influencers will get authenticated in-game. This was later confirmed by NBA 2K Community Manager Chris Manning, who also shared some screenshots of verified users and their new logos over the weekend.
It didn’t take long after that for regular players to start spotting verified NBA players in the game. Ben McLemore of the Memphis Grizzlies is in the house!
What’s fun about NBA 2K18’s verified feature is it basically lets the players know whenever they’re balling with the real deal. Other than that, you can shop or just hang out and chill in the 2K18 neighborhood with your favorite NBA stars. It also opens up more opportunities for NBA players to interact with their fans on a much wider scale.
