Did you know that Acer also makes smartphones? No kidding!

Non-geeks might know Acer as a gigantic brand that specializes on making notebooks and PCs, but the reality is the company makes smartphones, too! Here's another fact: Their handsets have reached the Philippines, and the latest of which has something your kakarag-karag phone can only dream of.

Pinoy geeks, check out the all-new Android KitKat-flavored Acer Liquid X1! And, oh, this one's an octa-core handset!

Formally announced back in June during the 2014 edition of Computex, this hi-tech piece of awesome gadgetry has the following hardware highlights to boast of:

  • 5.7-inch HD touchscreen
  • 1.7GHz octa-core processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage (expandable via microSD)
  • 13-megapixel rear camera
  • 2-megapixel front camera
  • LTE connectivity

Whew! Ang tindi ba, ser?!

With those specs, we expect the Liquid X1 to speed through your mobile chores like this:

We're also told that the Liquid X1's LTE capability goes beyond that of the normal LTE-equipped handsets. To be more specific, the darn thing can handle speeds of up to 150Mbps! That's waaay beyond the 80-100Mbps limit normal LTE handsets have!

Are you convinced this should be your next phone? Then get ready to pay P19,990!

Between you and us, we would've wanted it to have a cheaper SRP (and be a part of our gadget budget list). But for an octa-core smartphone from a big time manufacturer of quality gadgets, plus all the bells and whistles a next-gen handset should have, its price ain't that bad.
