Peeps who have pockets as shallow as a kiddie pool, Nokia has something for you! Called the 206, it's a phone that won't make you run for the hills when you see its SRP. Plus, it's dual-SIM, too!
So yeah, it's a pang-masa phone, and that also means it won't knock your socks off in terms of hardware. No Wi-Fi, HD viewing, 4G LTE, and quad-core goodness on this one. But that shouldn't matter for those just looking for a basic, no-nonesense handset. And it's not as if the 206 has nothing to offer by way of features. It has nifty basics like a 2.4-inch colored display, a basic 1.3-megapixel camera, and Bluetooth. It also packs dual-SIM capability for added convenience, especially if you're an avid kitikitexter.
But perhaps the most interesting thing about the 206 is its Slam feature. Basically it's an option to transfer photos and videos via Bluetooth without the hassle of having to search and pair devices. All you need to do is place the 206 very close to another handset with Bluetooth, choose a file, and press Send. If the owner of the other phone accepts, he'll get the file in an instant. Nifty!
Still, the biggest draw of the 206 is its price. Now available locally for just P2,850, it's within reach of penny-pinchers. Nice one, Nokia!
