And here's the classic, circa-1984 Apple Macintosh:

Quick question: What happens if you combine the two?

THIS:

That, geeks, is the glorious fusion of old and new Apple tech called the CURVED/labs-Mac. Designed by the German site called Curved, it's an unmistakably next-gen device that somehow retains the classic look of the '80s Macintosh. This time around though, it sheds the blocky shape its forefathers are known for and in its place is a slim frame reminiscent of the iPad's.

Here it is with the old school Macintosh:

See? If you're strictly looking from the front, you'd think they're just a few years apart!

As for the innards, Curved says this bad boy's powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and has up to 8GB of RAM together with 128GB of solid-state storage for faster operation speeds. We also dig the fact that it comes with an 11.6-inch touchscreen and an SD card slot up front which takes the place of its ancestors' floppy disk drive.

Not bad specs-wise, but it's pretty obvious that the appearance is its trump card. However, before you do this:
