It’s just been two months since Apple released its iPhone 7 and 7 Plus smartphones, but rumors are already abound that the tech giant is poised to add another color to its lineup.

Currently, the iPhone 7 series has five colors namely: silver, gold, rose gold, matte black and the exclusive jet black color, which is only available in higher memory capacity units like the 128GB and 256GB models.

But according to Japanese computers blog Macotakara, they have received information from their supplier that "Apple seems to have plan to add Pure White model to iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus."

However, it advises readers to treat this as speculation since their information may be unreliable.

If the iPhone 7 indeed releases in the Pure White color then this will be a throwback to the iPhone 4, which last sported a full white color in 2010.

Successive units like the iPhone 5 and onwards did have feature white color option on its front but the back part of the phone was either silver, gold or rose gold.

The iPhone 7 was launched on September 7 with new features like water resistance, a dual lens camera and the removal of the headphone jack which was replaced with EarPods or what we all know as wireless earphones.
