As we speak, Japan's biggest videogame trade fair, the Tokyo Game Show is unloading gaming goodies to look forward to.
One of those is Japanese game publisher Koei-Tecmo's Attack On Titan game coming to the Playstation 4, and older systems, the PS3 and the PS Vita. While the live-action movie was a let-down, this videogame seems to be more promising, if the game delivers on what it's shown in a new gameplay trailer. Watch:
Attack On Titan games have been released on the handheld Nintendo 3DS in the past, but this new game marks the first time that the series reaches the current-gen powerhouse, the PS4. As you've seen, the combat seems fast and furious. Currently under development by Omega Force, the guys behind the massive action series Dynasty Warriors, the hope is that the new Attack On Titan game will bring a similar level of intensity.
Here's where we don't want it to be the same though: The Dynasty Warriors series threw hundreds of enemies upon you that you mowed down. We're wishing that fighting these unstoppable giants don't become as repetitive as that. Also, we'd like to feel that constant sense of danger that the anime series was able to cultivate—that feeling you could easily get torn to bits or eaten at any time.
Here's what's been confirmed though as of writing: The voice actors from the anime will be making the jump to the videogame to lend it a dash of authenticity. We mean, who doesn't love hearing Eren's angry screaming constantly?
Watch out for Attack on Titan on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita sometime in 2016.
