The digital pet craze from the '90s that first taught most millennials the importance of proper care and responsibility is officially back to hit you hard with tons of nostalgia.

According to Bandai America marketing director Tara Badie, they will relaunch the Tamagotchi next month to celebrate the iconic toy’s 20th anniversary.

“The enduring power of Tamagotchi is its clear expression that nurturing and love never goes out of style. It’s such an honor to bring back one of the most beloved toys in a way that captures the magic and joy of a generation while embracing the sensibilities of new generations,” she added.

The Tamagotchi will be slightly smaller in size compared to the original but it still features the familiar egg shape, old-school pixel graphics, and beeping sounds that captivated fans of all ages
back in 1997.

It will also come in six shell colors that include six characters each which you can feed, play with, and watch in their sleep. Of course, you’ll need to clean their poop regularly and they’ll still die if left unattended for too long.

The Tamagotchi will be available starting November 5 as a limited edition product and will set you back $15 (around P800).

Here’s a sample from the Tamagotchi models release in Japan earlier this year:
