Staying true to its reputation as one of the geek world's busy bees, Samsung has just launched here in the Philippines two new devices that should make many a techie's Christmas wish lists: the new Galaxy Note 3 and its smaller, wrist-hugging bro, the Galaxy Gear.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

The third release of Sammy's Note phablet family, the Note 3 is one big device, with a screen that measures about 5.7 inches diagonally. But that shouldn't discourage you from taking it for a spin, because it also means one thing: more eye-candy! Yes, fellas, the Note 3 will do well in terms of displaying multimedia files and games, since its large display also comes in full-HD resolution. Nice!

As for the innards, as expected, the Note 3 packs handsome hardware. We're talking about a 2.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with not one, not two, but three gigs of RAM. Whoa! Needless to say, this beast eats your software chores—may it be playing Candy Crush or taking and editing selfies—for breakfast. It also has a 13-megapixel main camera for clearer and better mobile snaps.

If that's not enough to make gadget junkies swoon, the Note 3 also packs up to 64GB of internal storage, giving you more than enough virtual real-estate for your files. It also has the whole wireless connectivity shebang, from 3G and Bluetooth to Wi-Fi and 4G. And oh, it's also flavored with the latest Android version (Jelly Bean) and has a stylus to boot, giving a bit of old school vibe to the whole affair.
