Through the years, Apple has innovated their products to suit our needs. However, people sometimes criticize the company's design choices. Whether you are happy or not with their latest products, you have to admit that they do one hell of a good job when it comes to reinventing the features of their gadgets.
The latest MacBook Pro is the talk of the town, and it's bound to have its own set of detractors.
But what exactly are the pros and cons of the tech giant's newest invention. Let's take a look:
1) Touch Bar
It's the first time for Apple to install a touch sensitive set of keys, an innovation many were excited to hear about.
2) Touch ID
Like the iPhone, the new Apple laptop also includes a Touch ID sensor located on the device's Touch Bar. This provides better security for your beloved MacBook.
3) Bigger Touch Pad
No more annoying small mousepad. Your hands will be able to move freely while navigating the screen.
4) Better Resolution
Apart from 4K resolution, the new MacBook Pro also has a 5K screen resolution for better color and quality on images and videos.
Weighing only 3 lbs. and measuring around 13 to 15 inches, the new MacBook Pro hasn't lost its capacity to handle all your multimedia needs. The quality is the same as previous Apple laptops , but it comes in a smaller and easily transportable size.
6) Headphone jack
Everyone was relieved when they saw that Apple decided to keep the headphone jack on the MacBook Pro. At least the company didn't follow in the footsteps of the iPhone 7, which lacked a headphone port.
1) Lack of USB Port
There are four Thunderbolt ports or USB-C ports, but most are accustomed to USB-A ports. This could only mean one thing: time to buy expensive adaptors.
2) No Touchscreen
Though Apple managed to have touch sensitive keyboards as a replacement for the function keys, they still haven't come up with a laptop that has a touchscreen.
3) No SD Card Reader
Sorry, photographers. You still have to transfer files from your camera the hard way. We still don't know why Apple decided to ditch the SD Card slot because space is not an issue.
4) No HDMI
That means you won't be able to use your MacBook Pro for office presentations.
5) No Magsafe Port
This means you can charge your device on any of the four Thunderbolt ports, but the old Magsafe Port from previous models provided more safety for the laptop.
6) Apple logo doesn't light up
Say goodbye to the illuminated Apple logo! It's such a tiny detail, but it was company trademark.
