Looks like RIM's campaign here in the Philippines just took new recruits as the Canadian-titan has officially launched two new handsets sporting the BlackBerry OS 7.1 platform. Techies, give up a warm "Mabuhay!" to the all-new Curve 9320 and 9220, a couple of new 'Berrys that won't burn a deep hole through your wallets. Now, let's get to know the pair better now, shall we?

Both being Curves, it's expected that the 9320 and 9220 will look alike, and they do. Aside from a few slight cosmetic differences like the grayish-silver border found on the 9320, the handsets could be seen as identical twins. On the inside, both devices sport a 2.44-inch display (320 x 240 pixels), 512MB of RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, a 1450mAh battery, and a touch-sensitive trackpad. Also, as mentioned, the Curve 9320 and 9220 come with BlackBerry OS 7.1. And, last but not the least, the pair sports a dedicated BBM key for instant BBM access.

So what's the difference between the two? Well, the Curve 9320 has 3G connectivity as well as a bigger 3.15-megapixel camera with flash (the Curve 9220 only has a 2-megapixel shooter). Other than those, both handsets are pretty much the same inside and out.

As for pricing and availability, you can get the Curve 9320 and 9220 via Globe's postpaid plans, the former is available now on Plan 499 (with P99 unlimited BlackBerry Chat subscription) while the latter can be had on My Super Plan BlackBerry Unli Surf Combo Plan 999 (you can pre-order one here). If you don't want to get tied to a monthly subscription plan, the prepaid SRPs for the Curve 9320 and 9220 are P11,990 and P9,990, respectively. Check out the gallery below for press photos.
