Arcade gaming has gone a long way since it was popularized during the late ‘80s with titles like Street Fighter, which introduced us all to Ryu and Ken’s iconic “Hadouken” move way back in 1987. Three decades after, Capcom is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the fighting game franchise that started it all with a limited edition release.
During the Capcom Cup in California, the Japanese game publisher announced a massive compilation of some of the best Street Fighter games throughout the years.
The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will consist of 12 titles from the original Street Fighter up to Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike. Additional features include a special gallery where players can look back and appreciate Street Fighter history with bonus concept art, an interactive timeline and special soundtracks.
Aside from these, four games in the collection will get online features so players can enjoy both ranked and casual multiplayer matches, as well as a leaderboards system.
There’s no pricing yet but the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will be available in all major gaming platforms starting May 2018.
