Yo, Cherry Mobile! Why did you give your new device a special moniker? Not that we're complaining, but it's not something tech brands do for all their gadgets, right?
Geeks, here's the gadget that has colored us curious, the all-new Flare 3 a.k.a. "Phablet Ng Bayan":
During its launch, Cherry Mobile said that the Flare 3 is priced at a really affordable P3,999. Add the fact that it's a quad-core phablet with a 5-inch touchscreen, and you've got something that can potentially turn into a really patok device.
Here's a closer look:
Oh, another thing: the Flare 3's predecessor, the Flare 2, was also dubbed as "Quad-Core Ng Bayan." Put two and two together and you've got the reason for the phablet's nickname.
In the words of our Pambansang Kamao, "Now you know."
Aside from its big size and four cores, the Flare 3 also packs 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), dual-SIM capability, and an 8-megapixel main camera with LED flash and BSI (backside illuminated) for brighter low-light shots. The latest version of Android (KitKat) is also part of the package to sweeten the deal.
With its cheap price and nice specs, the Flare 3 is another great addition to our mapapamura-ka-sa-mura budget phones list. Not bad, CM. Not bad at all.
