Globe Conquerors Manila on August 18-19 is the final event to determine who gets to represent Southeast Asia in the League of Legends World Championship 2018 which will be held in South Korea later this October. The group stage is actually on-going right now, so let's hope our boys will be playing in the semis and final (for a sweet $100,000 prize) when the main Conquerors event happens at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Aside from the novelty of seeing how good (or bad) celebrities are at playing the games we play, it's also great that e-Sports organizers in the country are exerting efforts to create showmatches like these. Along with Conqueror's marquee cosplay competition and premier band performances, it's these kinds of additional entertainment that can help introduce non-gamers into the scene and spur spectator growth beyond those who are already locked in for some serious competitive LOL. Visit the official site and grab your tickets now–that P1000 Lower Box pass looks like good value since you get a shirt, lanyard, and hat to go with it.
