See that image above? That, dear Techies, is the previously rumored Desire C. It looks to be official, although HTC hasn't made any announcements yet (which could come pretty soon) and yep, it's from the Desire line, reminding us again that the Taiwanese titan has other handsets outside of the One series. Anyway, this one could be one of the most affordable Desire handsets ever, judging by its hardware specs.
But before we get into what's under the hood, let's see how the handset was revealed before any official launch. You see, the device is set to be included in Vodafone Portugal's parade, and the company was really eager, so much so that it has included the device in its May catalog even before HTC made any formal unveiling. The result? The press image and a handful of specs, which we'll discuss up next.
The Desire C will come with a 600Mhz CPU with a still undisclosed amount of RAM (we're thinking no more than 512MB) as well as a 3.5-inch 320 x 480 resolution. As for connectivity, this one has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3.5G (possibly HSDPA). There's also a 5-megapixel camera and 4GB of internal memory. The good news is, the Desire C will come with Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.
As we've said, the device is among the most budget-friendly offerings out of HTC. Estimates put its SRP as no more than 200€ or less than P11,000 making it significantly cheaper than the One line's most affordable member, the One V. We'll be keeping an eagle eye for more info about this one.
