8. The anti-cybercrime law will have as many developments as Lady Gaga's wardrobe
Our very own anti-cybercrime law has been met with heaps of criticisms and the buzz its passing generated has made it perhaps the biggest tech news of 2012. It has subsequently been thrown to the TRO (temporary restraining order) bin due to the issues (e.g. giving the government supreme power over the local web, blurry and unjust libel provisions) the anti-peeps are throwing at it. It will be back soon though, which means we're looking at more talks and developments about whether or not it should be passed, changed, or ultimately scrapped.
9. Roll out the online red carpet! The next YouTube sensation is coming!
In the lighter side of tech, YouTube churns out online sensations every year, and the next PSY or Carly Rae Jepsen could come within the next few months. Will he/she produce a dance craze that will have the whole world dancing, or will we have another LSS-inducing song? We don't know, and that makes us all the more excited!
10. We will hug this little thing called the Internet even more
As for us here in FHM HQ, we'll be having more digital-flavored endeavours this year. Expect more improvements in our mobile apps, emag, website, online babe chats, and videos as we try our absolute best to bring the best the Pinoy male deserves right smack into touchscreens and displays everywhere! Who knows? Maybe there will be a few surprises along the way, too...
