The Mobile World Congress was quite eventful, to say the least. First, a quick recap: Huawei unveiled their new, faster-than-Tegra 3 tablet, mighty Samsung admits to "not doing very well" tablet-wise even as their Galaxy S II is crowned as the best smartphone in the world, and ASUS is getting in on the smartphone-tablet ride.
Okay, we'll stop stalling. The widely-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S III has been plagued with a myriad of rumors, almost Apple-launch worthy even. We put those to rest right here, at last in terms of what it will have under the hood, as BGR has been kind enough to give the rest of the world an idea of what's such a big deal that Sammy had to forego a MWC appearance in favor of its own event. Check out the list below
- 4.8-inch full HD 1080p resolution with 16.9 aspect ratio display
- 8-MP rear camera and 2-MP front-facing camera
- 4G LTE connectivity
- 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
So there you go, just some more information to quench your fiery curiosity (for now). If it's as good as it sounds, perhaps we can expect it to inherent the award won by its older brother around the same time next year.
