Unless you’ve been in exile in some godforsaken banana republic, chances are, you’ve played Halo and its bitin sequel. If you’ve been dying to finish the fight of Master Chief, the super space soldier a heroic streak, Halo 3 is just around the corner. As the first Halo game for the Xbox 360, much rests on its shoulders. Halo 2 has sold millions and is gaming’s equivalent of a Hollywood blockbuster.
Halo 3 is the first Halo game for the 360 so a lot is at stake. The game engine has been totally revamped to take advantage of the console’s power. The graphics has been considerably spruced up and everything in the game world has been given a lavish texture work. If the environments and objects in the previous game had a plastic look to them, Halo 3’s assets now look like they belong in the real world. Wood and stone look like their real life counterparts instead of having an unnatural sheen. Master Chief has several new weapons at his disposal and new vehicles. New tweaks on the Elite character and multiplayer Forge mode make this much-anticipated title worth the wait.- Ed Geronia
