We need P35,000 and counting so far

The last quarter of the year is often stacked with release dates and there are many reasons for this, such as the holiday rush for consumers or the end of the fiscal year for publishers—hence the need to release big titles. Despite this being a yearly occurence, 2018's last four months still looks especially wallet-destroying in particular. At a low estimate of P2,100 per game, we're already sitting at P35,000 to cop everything we want to play during the ber months! Not to mention where to find the time to play all these!

Dragon Quest XI - September 4

A legendary franchise returns to consoles with DQXI. Not everyone will be familiar but if you're looking for a JRPG fix, then the classic stylings and gameplay of Dragon Quest may be your first purchase of the quarter.

Marvel's Spider-Man - September 7

September is pretty much a month for big comebacks, and Spidey makes a swinging return in the first big-budget hero game in quite a while! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with the game and we expect Marvel's Spider-Man to be one of the month's biggest sellers.

NBA 2K19 - September 11

You know, we almost forgot for a moment that 2K was coming out this September as well. There's just so much stuff!

Shadow of the Tomb Raider - September 14

Lara's origin trilogy comes to a close in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The second game was a good improvement on the first reboot so we have high hopes for a strong finish.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 - September 25

The VC franchise has a cult following that's been waiting for a true sequel for too long. If you're one of the non-mainstream types, you may want to check out this tactical-RPG with some of the best art direction in the genre.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey - October 5

Assassin's Creed in Ancient Greece! Odyssey looks set to continue the revitalization of the franchise in one of history's most videogame friendly time periods.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - October 12

No single player, no problem? BO4 gets battle royale instead and could be the title to finally break PUBG and Fortnite's hold on the popular game mode.

Soulcalibur VI - October 19

Even fight fans have a marquee title to look forward to this year, with the latest Soulcalibur entry.

Red Dead Redemption 2 - October 26

The big one, RDR2 is the title you should probably set aside for right now lest you experience major FOMO by not being able to buy it on day one.

Hitman 2 - November 13

Thankfully, there's a bit of a gap after the previous game (which you will definitely need to finish it) but things get intense again in mid-November. Hitman 2 kicks things off.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy - November 13

We've been through a lot of remasters, but Spyro stands out by taking us back to the fun platforming days of our youth.

Fallout 76 - November 14

COUNTRY ROADS, TAKE ME HOME

Battlefield V - November 20

If COD isn't your thing, then you're probably picking up the latest Battlefield instead, which has its own spin on battle royale as well.

Just Cause 4 - December 4

A pure gaming romp, Just Cause 4 is the kind of palate-cleansing gameplay to prepare you for all the good stuff coming out in 2019 (which is a lot).

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - December 7

For all you guys with a Switch, this is the ultimate Christmas present, right?
