Before you go any further, here's the official reveal trailer for Battlefield V:
Hot on the heels of the recent Call of Duty announcement, EA officially revealed their latest shooter earlier this week and the trailer finally confirmed what we all guessed from the "V" in the title: a return to World War 2.

Because Winston Churchill liked to flash the sign, of course
Internet manchildren took offense at the fact that the trailer featured a British woman (with a prosthetic arm, no less) taking center stage because "World War 2 had no female soldiers!" and it "ruined" the realism of Battlefield. That's just a circlejerk of immature gamers, but what was even worse is angry fans claiming the trailer was unrealistic and a far cry from what the franchise was all about and, well, just watch this clip of actual gameplay from BF1:
No scopes, window dives, yup looks like the trailer to us! We don't know what BF all the complainers have been playing because it's always been anything but realistic. In more good news, the evil overlords at EA have also done away with the need to pay a "Season Pass" to get the extra content that drops during the game's lifespan—that just made the game a much more sulit purchase for shooter fans. BFV releases on October 19!
