Here's another bit of news for local Android enthusiasts! HTC is all set to complete its One cast here in the Philippines and will finally be unveiling the One S along with a couple more handsets namely the Desire C and Desire V tomorrow, June 28. Pretty good timing considering the next payday is just a few, um, days away.
Leaked more than a month ago, the Desire C is said to be an entry-level handset which sports a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) display that's powered by 600MHz Snapdragon chip with 512GB of RAM. Internal memory tops out at 4GB (expandable to 32GB via microSD) while the imaging department is taken cared of by a 5-megapixel camera. Wireless connectivity over Wi-Fi, 3G, and Bluetooth is part of the mix as well. The good news is, despite probably being the cheapest of the trio, the Desire C will have Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.
Earlier this month we reported about the Desire V which is actually the first dual-SIM Android device from HTC. It's also pretty well-stocked, at least for a handset that can pack 2 SIM cards as it sports a 1GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 4-inch WVGA display and a 5-megapixel camera. And, yes, it will be arriving with Ice Cream Sandwich in tow.
It might have taken a bit longer in arriving here compared to its bros, the One V and One X, but at least we could finally say the wait is almost over. The One S could be seen as the mid-range offering of the One Series in terms of hardware although if we were in 2011, its specs will be good enough for it to have flagship status. The combo of a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB of RAM will run things for the handset while built-in capacity is at 16GB. There's also a huge 4.3-inch (540 x 960 pixels) touchscreen, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, and a 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video (VGA secondary). Obviously, this one also comes with Ice Cream Sandwich.
No word yet on exact pricing and availability but we'll know the exact deets on those during the launch so, stay tuned.
