Huawei, a tech company known for their numerous connectivity devices, has just unveiled another smartphone that should put a smile on the faces of local gadget hunters with pockets as shallow as yo momma jokes! Here's the new Ascend Y300, a dual-core Android goodie which will set you back for, well, we'll get to that in a bit. First, the specs!
It may be a cheap handset, but we tell you, the Ascend Y300 has the innards that will say otherwise. First, as we've said, it comes with a dual-core processor at 1GHz, that's partnered with 512MB RAM for your mobile computing needs. The device also boasts a 4-inch touchscreen with IPS (in-plane switching) and Gorilla Glass for more viewing angles and protection against bumps and scratches.

We're also told that the Ascend Y300 also has 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth to hook you up with the Internet. In the imaging department, you'll be getting a pair of shooters: a 5-megapixel main cam and a basic shooter up front for video calls. Lastly, it also comes with Jelly Bean out of the box which means you won't have to wait to upgrade to the latest version of Android. Nice!
So, going back, how much does the Ascend Y300 cost? P5,490! That's pretty affordable given those specs and should spare your wallets from another penitensya this Holy Week. And, yes, it's now available!
