The iPhone 7 keynote event last September 7 was a huge success. People were pumped up after the announcement that the new Apple phone will be available for purchase on September 16. But even before everyone gets their hands on the company's newest device, rumors about the iPhone 8 have already started catching fire.
There will be no iPhone 8 'S'
An analyst from Barclays predicts that the iPhone 8 won't have an iPhone 8S version since Apple might do something special for its 10th anniversary next year. The question is, what kind of spin would the company opt for with their soon-to-be released phone?
With the ubiquitous headphone jack now gone, experts are likewise betting on the removal of the phone's borders come iPhone 8's launch. The scrapping of this feature was also part of the rumors that circulated prior to launch of the latest model. The borders are still there, as we now all know. But their days might be numbered, if gossip of Apple finally going borderless on their next grand event are to be believed. Speaking of much-discussed makeovers, Apple is also said to be ditching the home button completely for that sleek and futuristic look.
Plastic? Metal? Make it glass
Are we smelling a comeback of the iPhone 4 and 4S, which both had a glass rear?
Wireless headphones first. Wireless charging later
Obviously, Apple will stand by their decision to obliterate the headphone jack in their future iPhones. Along with this, it is also rumored that charging will also go wireless! Apple has reportedly submitted a patent for wireless charging in the future.
