Remember the Nokia 808 PureView with 41 megapixels of camera goodness? It's one of the biggest stars at MWC 2012 and, as we've said before, its imaging tech is also headed to Lumia handsets. Fact is, we're now hearing buzz about leaked pics of the upcoming PureView Windows Phone device. Take a peek at one of the images below.
Looks, um, very different from the anorexic wonders we see today, no? It somehow reminds us of durable weatherproof phones instead of flagship powerhouses. And, that's just half of the story. Together with the images are also leaked tid bits on what the mystery device is rumored to have under the hood. The reported specs list includes a 4.3-inch curved HD display, a dual-core chip with with an Adreno 320 GPU, a 41-megapixel sensor with 1080p HD video recording, and Windows Phone OS. Some readers have also noticed that the Home button icon on the handset shown is also the logo for Windows 8 which could mean the device will run on Microsoft's newest platform. Interesting.
As for us here at Techie, we're gonna take a grain of salt on this one. This is not to say that the Lumia PureView handset is a myth. It is coming, that we already know. We're only betting it won't look like the one shown on the images, which reports are now saying could just be concept designs rather than faithful renders of the real thing in development.
