As if saying they're more than just a billion-dollar PC-making juggernaut, Lenovo has just unleashed two new Android mobile devices here in the Philippines. One is a sleek smartphone with pogi looks and a quad-core heart; the other is a tablet that—get this—can also make calls like some sort of a giant handset!
Geeks, here's the S850 smartphone (left)and the A8-50 tablet:
Look good, 'no? You shouldn't expect anything less from a hebigat tech brand. Now, let's get to know them better, shall we?
An anorexic smartphone at just 8.2mm thick, the S850 is a 5-inch slab of metal and plastic which looks good enough to warrant stares from your inggitero bros. Here's another look:
Aside from its gorgeous facade, the S850 is also packed inside. This bad boy comes with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, which basically means it can multi-task nicely and run your apps with less lags and slow-downs. Sixteen gigabytes of built-in storage is provided, so you won't have to grab a memory card for added capacity.
For your selfies (who doesn't take 'em, right?), the S850 has a 13-megapixel rear shooter that can capture Full-HD videos on the go. A 5-megapixel camera is up front for, say, video-calling with your pals abroad. The 5-inch display is also in Full-HD for better eye-candy when it comes to mobile videos, apps, games, and whatnot.
Meanwhile, the A8-50 is a tablet with an 8-inch 720p HD touchscreen—a rarity in terms of size. Most tablets today usually pack a 7-, 9-, or a 10-inch display. Here's another rare A8-50 feature: if you're willing to look a bit like a dork, you can use it to make calls! Yep, it has a micro-SIM slot that enables it to function like a big-ass phone.
On the more "standard" side of things, the A8-50 also has a quad-core processor. Couple that with 1GB of RAM and you've got another speedy, multi-tasking goody. Up to 16GB of storage is provided for your porn multimedia files while 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity are provided for your mobile surfing sprees.
The best part? The A8-50 is just 8.9mm thick! That's only .7mm thicker than the much smaller S850, and we're talking about a true blue tablet here! Color us impressed, Lenovo!
