Lenovo U310 Ultrabook

Last night, Lenovo Philippines launched a fresh line of PCs and it was not celebration to miss out on. Instead of opting for the usual presentation of PCs, Lenovo chose to have statuesque models wearing the latest designs of Bonne Bouche strut the runway with the new ThinkPad and IdeaPad PCs.

The headturners of the evening were of course the IdeaPad U310 and U410 Ultrabooks. Priced at P39,995 and P48,995 respectively, both epitomizing the word slim with the U310 coming in at 18mm and 1.7kg while the U410 was a tad thicker at 21mm and a tiny bit heavier at 1.8kg. Don't let their anorexic builds fool you though; these bad boys boast an impressive battery life of up to seven to nine hours on a single charge. There's no need to wait for boot up as their solid state drives ensure a quick resume from sleep in seconds, too.

Under the hood,  they've got no less than a 3rd gen Intel Core i5 Processor, 4GB of RAM and 500GB hard disc drive. A Heavyweight in the graphics department as well, the U310 has the Intel GMA 4000 HD while the U410 has the NVIDIA GeForce 610M 1GB to thank.

Lenovo Y480Those who use their laptops for movies and games are sure to be impressed by the IdeaPad Y480, a machine powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and coupled with NVIDIA GeForce GT640M 2GB DDR3 graphics for an optimal gaming experience. It's also got enhanced audio care of Dolby Home Theater V4 and JBL designed speakers. With that kind of specs, expect that you'll have to shell out a little more than expected but don't worry, P50,995 is still within the reasonable price range for devices with outstanding features such as these.

Not leaving more frugal consumers out in the cold, Lenovo also introduced the IdeaPad S110, the author's personal favorite (it's cute and the white finish makes it look neat as a pin) because not only is it affordable at P16,995, but it's portable at 1.15 kg. Even though it's small, its 10.1-inch display is still in HD and it houses a 98% full-size chiclet keyboard. Wi-Fi-capable and boot up time clocking in at up to 40% faster than others, the S110 is ideal for users who have to surf, email, and compose messages and documents on the fly.
