Another week, another batch of brand-spankin' new smartphones that tell us to ditch our slow, pinaglumaan na handsets. This time around, we train our sights on a new, sleek and shiny trio from LG that has just rolled out here in the Philippines. Pinoy geeks, give it up for the L Series III smartphones!
The LG L Series III is comprised of three models, the L40, L70, and L80. These phones boast of the latest Android version (KitKat) without the nakakalula price tag flagships have. The reason being they're aimed at the entry-level and mid-range markets rather than the folks in the filthy rich bracket.
But don't let that get you down; the L Series III smartphones still have pretty nice hardware and also has dual-SIM capability! Below is a closer look at each one.
The smallest of the bunch, the dual-core L40 comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen and a set of basic goodies inside a compact frame that won't pose problems for small Pinoy hands. It's perfect for first-time Android users who don't want to be drowned in all the bells and whistles superphones have.

Is 3.5-inches too small for you? Then have a go with the L70! Aside from packing a larger display, it also has better hardware compared to the more basic L40.

The most well-endowed of the trio, the L80 has a 5-inch touchscreen and a nice, textured back side that adds more grip and pogi points to the whole package.

Note: Both the L40 and L70 are now available in local LG stores around the metro while their kuya, the L80, is slated to land later this month.
