LG Electronics Philippines recently introduced two new smart phones under its Optimus Series.

One is a Guinness World Record holder and the other owns the brightest NOVA display in the market today.

This is the LG Optimus 2X:

On paper, it sounds awesome: It is the world’s first dual core smart phone powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2, the graphics processor powerhouse. It boasts lower power consumption and high performance, so even if it’s a dual core, worrying about draining battery life ain’t necessary.

Better yet, the Guinness World Records have credited it as the first smart phone with dual core processor. With this feature, it promises to run the phone at a clock speed of 1GHz, giving users the browsing speed of a laptop or desktop computer from a phone.

Optimus 2X also contains your everyday jolly-gizmo multimedia features. To be able to view videos and play games from your phone to your HDTV is probably the most awesome thing about it, courtesy of its HDMI connectivity.

To cap it all off, the phone has an 8.0 mega pixel back facing camera, a 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera, and has a DLNA function that allows you to wirelessly share photos, videos, and other contents to other DNLA-capable devices.

Next: the LG Optimus Black
