It is one of the world’s slimmest and lightest Android smart phones, and is in fact a hit among techie consumers, having recorded more than two million pre-orders in 20 countries since early this year.
But the real catch with the Optimus Black is its ultra-bright NOVA display, which delivers optimal brightness and readability under any lighting conditions (yes, especially under the sun). Its crystal clear display features truer whites while simultaneously cutting energy consumption by 50% compared to other LCDs.
Plus, that incredibly slim body and its collection of smart features designed to improve user experience – the Gesture UI, Wi-Fi Direct, a 2 mega pixel front-facing camera, and a 5 mega pixel back-facing camera.
Both phones are powered by Android 2.2 Froyo, which can be upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Furthermore, you get to check out the Android Market from this phone, where you have the option to choose from over 150,000 apps straight from your Optimus phone.
So yeah, we guess what we’re trying to say is LG’s doing something good with their little initiatives. And that alone is enough of a reason to give these new releases a try.
