After months of waiting, LG has finally officially unleashed its latest superphone here in the Philippines and, my, it's a helluva doozy. Check it out below:
Dubbed the Optimus G Pro, it's the successor to the LG Optimus G—another impressive device in our book—and it's ready to battle it out with the big boys of the smartphone arena. Its arsenal: a collection of top-notch hardware and features proving that it is flagship material.
It's a mobile beast, and here are six reasons why:
1. Its got muscle
Like a gym rat obsessed on building biceps, the Android-powered Optimus G Pro is packed with mobile muscle in the form of a 1.7GHz quad-core processor that's paired with 2GB of RAM. Flagship numbers, we tell you. We're accustomed to seeing this kind of statline slapped on desktops and laptops so, yeah, this device has the speed and processing power.
It has 16 to 32GB of internal memory (region-dependent) and expandable up to 64GB with an SD Card. Designed for the heavy multimedia user, this one definitely is.
2. Its got size
The Optimus G Pro also has a much larger screen compared to its predecessor's 4.7-inches. The G Pro packs a 5.5-inch touchscreen—large enough that you can actually call it a phablet.
But it's more than just size. The display on this superphone is gorgeous, boasting IPS (in-plane switching for more viewing angles) tech and full HD resolution (1920 x 1080). While it's true that our smaller Pinoy hands might have a bit of a struggle handling it on one palm, multimedia users will absolutely love the extra real estate. The crisp, large visuals are perfect for watching movies on the bus.
