Remember the MyPhone Agua Rio, a quad-core phone that's part of our latest techie-pid list? At one peso below P5,000, it is definitely a cheap-o!

We'd like to introduce you to its sibling, another quad-core phone that—get this—is a 1K cheaper! Say hello to the MyPhone Rio Lite!

At P3,999, this one definitely screams mura. But we trust that you'll look beyond the price tag: the Rio Lite is a true blue quad-core smartphone with specs that are often found on significantly pricier phones! We're talking about a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, a 4.7-inch touchscreen display with IPS (In-Plane Switching for more viewing angles), 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel main camera, and a 2-megapixel front shooter.

Four gigabytes of internal storage is also provided. If you find that to be bitin, you can expand it via a microSD card up to 32GB. We also like the fact that the Rio Lite is, like previous MyPhone offerings, also dual-SIM.

We're told that the phone itself is quite slim, measuring only 9.5mm thick. And, judging from the poster above, it looks as elegant as that mas mahal phone your snotty friend has!

It's always good news for us whenever a multi-core phone with a pang-masa price tag becomes official. For those of you willing to take it out for a spin, the Rio Lite is now available via MyPhone stores around the metro. Again, it's only P3,999! Your wallet will be happy.
