The cover athletes have been revealed, followed by the player ratings—now, the trailer for NBA 2K19's MyCAREER game mode called "The Way Back" has finally dropped.


From the looks of things, a gamer's custom player won't be taking the usual route of being selected and climbing the NBA ladder to superstardom. Instead, like any other unfortunate draft applicant, he begins the arduous journey of trying his luck overseas, until hopefully, he finds and grinds (G-League) his "way back" to the pros. This serves as a more realistic portrayal of the struggles that an unheralded basketball prospect faces before even getting a sniff of the league.

Another highlight of the teaser is the appearance of a few celebrities who will be instrumental in your return to relevance. Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense) is your social media manager, while we're not quite sure about Anthony Mackie's (Avengers) role. It seems that "The Way Back" will just be an option, so fans of the standard MyCAREER storyline can still play the classic mode.
